Secondary Physical Education
Physical Education plays a pivotal role in the development and well-being of young people with regular exercise being proven to aid the physical and mental development of young people. As a teacher of Physical Education you will introduce young people to a variety of physical activities; both from a performance and an inclusivity perspective. Skills, knowledge and understanding learning in Physical Education are key to well-being and lifelong participation in sports.
Whilst training with EMTTP you will experience a range of activities across the 11 to 16 age range, including Physical Education as an examination subject. You will look at key concepts and processes within PE and analyse how students learn best. Opportunities will also be given to experience Post 16 provision as an enhancement to the course.
